As Negeri Sembilan heads to the polls, this video explores a question that goes far beyond politics: Where do our divisions begin?
Drawing from conversations with Tinagaran Subramaniam (Cikgu Tina) of PSM and Danesh Prakash Chacko of Tindak Malaysia, this video examines whether the way we were educated, categorised and socialized has influenced how we see one another today.
From classrooms divided by achievement, ethnicity, language and social circles to the identity politics that dominate modern elections, we ask whether politicians create these divisions – or simply inherit and amplify those already embedded within society.
This is not a video telling you who to vote for. It is a video asking why you vote the way you do.
When you enter the polling booth, will your decision be driven by fear or hope? Identity or humanity? Yourself – or the future of your neighbours?
