Why the Global South is suspicious of US motives in Ukraine war

Democracy Now! speaks with acclaimed Filipino scholar and activist Walden Bello on the Global South’s response to the unfolding crisis in Ukraine.

Bello says there’s hesitation from many world leaders to take an active role in the crisis, arguing that there is a lack of explicit national interests and a general suspicion the US provoked the invasion to take advantage of the subsequent backlash against Russia.

AGENDA RAKYAT - Lima perkara utama

  3. Raikan kerencaman dan keterangkuman
  4. Selamatkan demokrasi dan angkatkan keluhuran undang-undang
  5. Lawan rasuah dan kronisme

I agree with the speaker. It is all America’s unnecessary provocation into Putin’s backyard.
How would Biden react if Putin were to get into Venezuela or Mexico? Stupid geopolitics of the American military-industrial complex. Start a war so that they can sell more arms!
