Mehdi and Gibney, both critics of Musk, dive into how the trillionaire became so powerful and why Gibney believes he may be the world’s most dangerous man. Throughout the wide-ranging conversation, they also discuss the legal threats Musk’s lawyers made against Gibney and his team.
Gibney also explains how Musk was able to create a “genius” persona, the US government’s complicity in his rise, how Musk become involved in right-wing politics and the volatile relationship between Musk and Donald Trump – something Gibney calls a “marriage of convenience”.
