The “Madani” (Civil) government aims to table a Malaysian media council bill by March 2024 and engagements involving industry players, civil society organisations and other stakeholders are ongoing.

BFM talks to Wathshlah Naidu, the executive director of the Centre for Independent Journalism, one of those involved in this effort, about the latest developments.
