The People v Najib Razak Ep 69: Got the flu

Court proceedings were cut short today because Najib’s lawyer had the flu.

Nevertheless, lawyers on both sides made the most of the morning, arguing over whether or not an expert witness should be called in to verify the authenticity of Najib Razak’s signatures — which the ex-PM had claimed were forgeries. Patrick Teoh presents for the Malaysian Insight.

‘Court proceedings were cut short today because Najib’s lawyer had the flu.’

At this rate will this case [and other similar cases] continue until the next 15 GE of which there may now be a greater possibility? Other medical reason postponements:
# Due to eye infection;
# Lead counsel fractured his left wrist after his pet dog jumped on him and that he was in pain and needed to seek immediate medical attention later through an X-ray scan,
# Hurts knee in fall,
# May have been some other reasons.
POSTPONEMENTS MAY RESULT IN HIGH COSTS OF TAXPAYERS’ FUNDS WHICH RAKYAT HAS TO BEAR AND RESULT IN DELAYS AND CLOSURE OF CASES.
