The Najib Razak 1MDB Trial Ep 75: Intonations and perceptions

Ismee Ismail, the former director of 1MDB, admitted in court on 17 March 2022 he was wrong in believing Najib Razak wanted the Terengganu Investment Authority to issue a RM5bn bond.

Ismee had earlier testified that he conveyed a message that Terengganu ruler Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin wanted to discontinue the bond but perceived Najib’s reaction and intonation as wanting the bond issuance to proceed.
