Yesterday, we heard how Shahrol Halmi, the former 1MDB CEO, signed minutes of a meeting that he never attended because he believed ultimate power over 1MDB resided in Najib. And whatever the Prime Minister wanted, he got it. Patrick Teoh presents for the Malaysian Insight.

We also heard how the state fund’s memorandum and articles of association were amended to give Najib even more power. This meant Najib held not one, not two, but three positions of absolute authority in the company, making him the emperor of 1MDB.
