Aliran’s Dr Azmil Tayeb, a political analyst with Universiti Sains Malaysia, believes the recent remarks by Pas spiritual leader Hashim Jasin about an invitation to join the government could be a warning to Bersatu.

In an interview with KiniTV, he said it could be a signal that Pas is ready to leave Perikatan National if the need arises and it is a way of saying that they do not have to depend on Bersatu.

Azmil weighed in on the pros and cons of Pas joining the government and said that the party can also easily go it alone as it has done so in the past.
