Over 1,000 Orang Asli rally in Putrajaya demanding recognition of ancestral land rights

Hundreds of Orang Asli from 19 tribes gathered in front of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development Ministry in Putrajaya on 12 June, demanding that the government recognise their customary land rights, halt encroachment on their villages, and seek community consent before approving development on their territories.
