Jeffrey Sachs argues that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu influenced US President Donald Trump to abandon the JCPOA nuclear agreement to maintain regional hegemony and undermine Iran through economic and military aggression.

He claims this resulted in an ongoing, costly conflict involving assassinations and global economic instability, fuelled by aggressive US and Israeli policies
