High time to abolish the Sedition Act

The use of the Sedition Act 1948 has come into focus again as caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi was charged with two counts of sedition in the Selayang Sessions Court on 18 July, after being arrested at 3am in the morning.

BFM speaks with constitutional lawyer Malik Imtiaz Sarwar about the case and whether the government of the day should take steps towards abolishing or replacing the archaic law.
