Grassroots leading political change

The grassroots-led white flag movement is creating waves over social media, with communities offering help in kind to people in distress during the pandemic.

However, the politicisation of the movement by figures on both sides of the divide has sparked public backlash.

BFM discusses the impact of social media movements and efforts to lead political change from the ground up with strategic communications consultant and commentator Nathaniel Tan. He also heads Projek Wawasan Rakyat (POWR) and is part of Projek Bangsa Malaysia.

A Report of the Special Rapporteur on the Right To Food, Olivier De Schutter dated 3 February 2014 was submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 22/9, contains the findings of the Special Rapporteur on the right to food on his visit to Malaysia from 9 to 19 December 2013 which states the main steps the country should now take towards the full realization of the right to food.

Today, on July 7, 2021 in a Covid-19 stricken society, the full realization of the Right To Food in Malaysia is a mere illusion!
