Durian plantations are to blame, say Baling villagers

The villagers in Baling are blaming durian plantations for the floods.

BFM talks to Kiu Jia Yaw, co-deputy chair of the Bar Council environment and climate change committee, and Khor Yu Leng, a political economist at Segi Enam Advisors. They look at the impact these plantations have had on our environment and the issues behind the way forest land is parcelled out.

Interesting to know the owners of lands and durian project company if different.
Also was the land private or recently approved and for what purpose and price or premium and other charges paid to State Land Authority.
