The economist Jomo Kwame Sundaram says Malaysia’s political history has overlooked a pan-ethnic tradition that once brought people together across racial and party lines.

Jomo was speaking at a forum in Kuala Lumpur organised by Aliran yesterday which also featured Tan’s youngest daughter Poh Lai, a lawyer.
