Defections raise Anwar election chances

The defection of a few ruling coalition parliamentarians to the political opposition has shifted Malaysia’s pre-election equation and highlighted the importance of the crucial swing states of Sabah and Sarawak in what is expected to be a neck and neck contest, writes Anil Netto.

Historically a “fixed deposit” of votes for the Barisan Nasional (BN), the coalition that has ruled the country consecutively since independence from colonial rule, Sabah and Sarawak are expected to play a prominent role in the coming general election.

out of the 222 parliament seats– sabah n sarawak has 57 seats 0r 25 %,, there fore the key to PUTRAJAYA rests with east malaysia, the last ge results shows PR N BN has won equal seats in Peninsular malaysia,, so friends in sabah n sarawk– you decide our nation destiny,, vote wisely to change course

Fixed no more for Umno , the east Malaysians are awaken from all lies and deceptions of the ruling party ! They don’t want to be ministers of nothing important or better still just there to endorse whatever Umno are proposing. Above all stop (grabbing) all their wealths to develop Putrajaya and west Malaysia !
