Citizenship confirmation for children of Malaysian mothers

After years of being rejected, a group of Malaysian mothers whose children were previously denied citizenship because they were born overseas to foreign fathers, finally managed to start the process to get their children’s citizenship confirmation certificate from the National Registration Department.

BFM speaks to Chee Yoke Ling from Family Frontiers, to discuss what it took for them to get to this point.
