Najib at restaurant’s official opening: Shamelessness growing more brazen!

This trend of publicly and unashamedly celebrating a convicted person goes against all moral codes

Najib Razak - guilty on all seven charges

There is this video of the launching of a restaurant that has gone viral.

The outpouring of social media sentiment, furiously shared, is understandable.

When business concerns see no wrong in inviting a disgraced former prime minister to grace their outlet’s official opening, it raises serious concerns.

How could the business owners disregard the fact that the court had charged and convicted Najib Razak and slapped a heavy fine and jail term on him? (He is now out on bail, pending appeal.)

A convicted felon appealing his case does not negate the court ruling. Najib’s is no more a case of ‘innocent until proven guilty’.

This ‘VIP’, who was glorified and celebrated at the official opening, is guilty as charged, and he is now fighting an appeal to reverse that court judgment. He is a convicted felon out on bail, pending an appeal. No more, no less.

This trend of publicly and unashamedly adoring and celebrating a convicted person goes against all moral codes of human conduct and even religious teachings.

Day by day we see the rot taking root deeper in our society.

This must stop, as the danger inflicted on the social framework of Malaysia by people like him could destroy the nation.

In the first place, Najib himself should have had the grace to turn down the invitation to such an event until his appeal is resolved at the Palace of Justice.

Don’t forget; the tagline is already now “Malu apa Boss?”

We forget our ethical and intergrity standards are now in the pits. So, I am not surprised he was invited by the restaurant and he accepted the invite.

Just no sense of sin, this doesn’t sound like a Muslim. Is the rakyat just going to Allow this? What did I become a Muslim for? To obey Allah and feel the joy of His Support!

The man is shameless yes! But look at the supporters of a thief-UMNO, the Dewan Rukayat members, the thousands who follow him (the self-appointed Boss Ku). Isn’t the Malay aka Bumiputra population ashamed that this [man] conned Malaysians -Frankly, I think the impact of this was felt more by the Bumiputra population-look at his fellow crooks that stole from Tabung Haji, Mara and felda to name a few…. unbelievable.
