If it could happen to the late Altantuya and her family, what could happen to any one of us, citizens and foreigners in Malaysia, wonders JD Lovrenciear.

Thirteen years have flown by. And the father and family of the slain Altantuya Shaariibuu have not yet experienced the sweet scent of justice.

After 13 year of investigations, trials, hopes and promises, the soul of Altantuya is still haunting the Malaysian people.

Tell me – what, why and when will we ever be able to completely solve this ghastly murder? In this age of development and advances in the science of beating crimes and dispensing justice, what is taking us so long to nail all the crooks?

Should we not be ashamed of our failure to allow acceptable, transparent and fair justice to triumph? Whatever happened to all the promises made by various politicians?

Indeed we Malaysians should be ashamed. If this could happen to the late Altantuya and her family, what could happen to anyone of us, citizens and foreigners in Malaysia?
