We must also rally together in this battle against disobedience, which has apparently penetrated the civil service and institutions supposed to safeguard the interests of the people, says JD Lovrenciear

Kudos to Attorney General Tommy Thomas. Without mincing his words, in his immediate, speedy media response to the appeal filed by his chambers against the verdict in the Rafizi Ramli case, he sternly warned that action would be taken for disobedience.

While many patriotic, loyal folks will salute the attorney general, we must also rally together in this battle against disobedience, which has apparently penetrated the civil service and institutions supposed to safeguard the interests of the people.

We cannot lose time anymore in curbing these purported manifestations of the ’deep state’. Many fear that certain quarters are out to destabilise the nation and wrest complete control by using the rhetoric of race, religion and royalty.

While the outcome of the world’s biggest heist of national wealth is still up in the air, I believe (and I believe many other concerned folks share the same view) that more disobedience and plots will be unleashed, and social media could be exploited to the hilt.

The government must be mindful. Heads of the civil service and vanguard institutions must be vigilant.

And the media must lend its support despite difficult financial times to help principled leaders and officials battle this scourge.
