70th birthday wishes for Wan Azizah

A very blessed birthday to Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, wife of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. 

May God Almighty shower her with good health and long life. 

Indeed to mark her 70th birthday on 3 December, a nation of moderate Malaysians sends her bouquets of well wishes to recognise ‘Kak Wan’ – as she is fondly regarded – as an icon of womanhood. 

As daughter, mother, wife and politician, she has endured so much pain and sorrow but she still carried on with determination and perseverance. 

Her husband has aptly expressed all the reasons why the nation joined the PM in sharing the joy of wishing Wan Azizah happy birthday. 

Surely Malaysians can be proud of this vibrant and quiet yet resolute woman who shows us the path to being great daughters, mothers and wives. Above all, she is a gift for the nation as we pick up the pieces to reconstruct a better Malaysia. 

Indeed it is a blessing for Malaysia as we wish her many more years to savour the fruit of her labour, sacrifice and pains with fervent hope in the Almighty.
