The People’s Health Forum (PHF) in collaboration with the Bar Council’s migrants, refugees and immigration affairs committee and the Jeffrey Cheah School of Medical and Health Sciences, is organising a roundtable on migrant healthcare.

The objectives of the roundtable are as follows:

  • to bring together stakeholders on the frontlines of migrant healthcare to strengthen the understanding of the problems related to migrant healthcare and migrant healthcare financing and examine policy options for solutions
  • to advance the discourse that links work with social protection and healthcare financing for a range of migrant populations including refugees, asylum seekers and stateless people, in developing a universal and sustainable healthcare financing mechanism for this population
  • to develop policy recommendations on migrant healthcare financing to be submitted to the government through a memorandum
