Aliran invites you to a screening of a documentary about the history and lives of farmers on Penang Hill.
This will be following by a discussion led by filmmaker Andrew Han.
The film traces the farmers’ roots from 18th-Century ethnic Chinese immigrants. It highlights their struggles, adaptations and contributions to the hill’s development, reflecting on the generational changes, cultural traditions and the enduring spirit of the farming community.
