Patriot expresses deep concern over the many reports of gruesome cruelty towards animals, in particular the cold-blooded killing of dogs.
Shooting, snaring and dragging stray dogs on streets are heinous acts that strongly contradict the values of care and compassion values promoted by the “Madani” government.
In fact, these actions violate all universal values and, as such, cast the nation in a bad light as well.
Patriot demands that local authorities stop such beastly acts immediately. Enough is enough.
The Veterinary Department should educate local authorities on humane means of controlling the stray dog and cat population in the country, as these animals can pose health problems.
Patriot also recommends that schools encourage young minds to have pets and educate them about pet care and responsibility.
Discrimination against animals, especially dogs, as can be easily perceived from the brutal actions taken nationwide, is a disease of the mind if not a convoluted manifestation of extremism.

The legal fraternity can also play a role in helping to quickly stop these manifestations of such cruelty by hauling violating local authorities to court.
Patriot also expresses deep concern over owners of cats and dogs who fail to exercise personal responsibility in caring for their animals. Enforcement actions must be implemented to hold people accountable.
