Patriot deems the recent incident where an improvised explosive device was planted under the car driven by lawyer and activist Siti Kasim as very serious.
While the police are investigating, Patriot demands that the persons who carried this cowardly act and the persons behind this dangerous operative and the mastermind should be tracked, arrested and hauled to court in quick time.
What happened to Siti Kasim should never ever become a trend in this beloved nation of ours. Nip it in the bud, please.
In a world where radicalisation and religious extremism are creating deep instability and plunging nations into chaos, any such acts as in Siti Kasim’s case cannot be treated as insignificant.
Patriot takes note that while civil society organisations had collectively expressed their concerns and registered their condemnation, the news channels are devoid of any official statements from the government.
In a climate where “Malaysia Madani” (Civil Malaysia) is being campaigned for with fervour, it is unthinkable why we are not getting a response and assurance from the “unity government”.
Members of Patriot include seasoned and experienced ex-servicemen and we know how dangerously this incident can morph into.

Patriot will defend the safety and reputation of this land of ours and its rulers and people.
Patriot knows too how the country’s reputation and political stability can be downgraded on the international playing field. Our country cannot afford it.
We expect a speedy resolution to this condemned act.
