The latest saga that has shocked many concerned people deserves crucial answers.
Patriot supports the cabinet minister who spilled the beans over the detention of a foreign national at the nation’s premier gateway, the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
We take serious issue with the call by the Immigration Department head for the public not to speculate about the incident.
Patriot is concerned that a certain minister could even blurt out that he has not yet received a full report.
We demand an end to all such damaging incidents that continue to betray our nation and demolish any good effort to cleanse and transform this beleaguered nation.
We believe the government and the relevant ministries owe the public an explanation for the incident.
Patriot – whose members are retired security officers, many of whom served in various top ranks – knows how damaging and threatening to a nation’s security such incidents can be.

Patriot, therefore, registers its serious concern and passionately appeals for the salvaging of the country’s image and reputation in the eyes of not only tourists but also potential investment business communities.
We also demand to know why ‘agents’ – or whatever that entity is supposed to be – are being courted to provide services to in-bound visitors who have been detained or denied entry into Malaysia.
The civil servants tasked to serve at our borders and the gateway stations have a moral, spiritual and social duty to protect our shores.
Those profiteering from the safeguarding of our nation should be suspected of treason to the nation, king and the people.
Patriot believes the cabinet minister must be acknowledged for spilling the beans in the public foyer.
We cannot go on bluffing ourselves with statements like “allegations” or “do not speculate” or “we are investigating”.
We certainly cannot run afoul of nations that will always protect and assist their citizens who are subjected to allegations or affirmed instances of harassment, unlawful detention, being fleeced or treated in any way deemed to violate justice and fundamental rights.
