Paris court begins inquiry into submarine scandal

5

Suaram has announced that an inquiry into the alleged corruption, misuse and abuse of taxpayers money, linked to the purchase of the two Scorpene class submarines, back in 2002 will commence on Thursday, 19 April at the Paris Tribunal de Grande Instance (TGI), a first degree court that deals with civil litigation matters.

Lawyer William Bourdon

Lawyers William Bourdon and Joseph Breham will be the lead counsel representing Suaram in France.

Suaram at this time will be represented by Dr Kua Kia Soong (Director and one of the founders of Suaram), followed by Cynthia Gabriel (Secretariat member) and lawyer Fadiah Nadwa. Dr Kua Kia Soong will give the witness statement on the reason why Suaram has filed the case in 2010. This investigation will be conducted before two judges, Judge Roger Le Loire and Judge Serge Tournaire.

Suaram will also provide names such as then Defence Minister and current Prime Minister Najib Razak, Abdul Razak Baginda, Steve Sharribuu and also others that are believed to be able to assist in the investigation to know the truth about this scandal of 10 years which was also associated with Altantuya’s Sharibuu death in 2006.

Suaram hopes that with the commencement of this case in France, we can send a clear message that Malaysians will not sit back and look at corrupt politicians and rampant corruption activities in Malaysia. The Malaysian people wants a government that is transparent, free from corruption and that will also protect the interests of the people.

Suaram will continue to provide information after the delegation returns from France.

Allah is great. Using their power they can shuff off anything brought against them in Malaysia. They control all the corrupted legislative. They forgot that Allah is the supreme power and all knowing. In France it is illegal for any company to bribe to secure contracts including foreign heads. SUARAM is getting around the smart ass Malaysian legal eagles by submitting a complain in France. Bingo, it seems to work. And Allah will show his power and knowledge once again for humans to see. Sadly, very few people will take heed. Money and power cant buy everything.

Great job Suaram. Reveal all the sordid details. Leave nothing out. Name names fearlesly and stand proud that you are doing the right thing by our country.

Some leaders are well-known for their umrah and hajj trips after committing sins. Some swear on the Koran and Allah. The Creator is not going to forgive them. Don’t worry. I spoke to many teachers, civil servants, university students and lecturers. Almost 100% are not happy with the government. Umno has become too arrogant. The humble Pakatan Pact seems to enjoy more popularity. The French court will see justice done on this corruption issue, hopefully.

… preventing the French lawyers from entering Malaysia from the airports and calling for Allah to bear witness is surely not going to help this time round.

… the immigration department can’t do a thing in France just wait for the s… to hit the fans and the ceilings….
