Police moved in to disperse anti-ISA vigils last night and arrest some of those gathered in major cities nationwide. Yesterday marked 50 years of the draconian law.
The events were organised by the Abolish ISA Movement (GMI). In Petaling Jaya, 29 protesters were arrested. They were all released by dawn the next day.

The vigil on 9 November was broken up by police and 23 people were arrested. But that is unlikely to deter others from persisting with the vigils.
