Thinking Malaysians are perplexed how on earth the police went ahead to investigate Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy even though there were allegedly medical reports confirming that there was no basis for their action.
Many Malaysians are deeply concerned about the seemingly deliberate denial of medical treatment for ISA detainee and Hindraf adviser P Uthayakumar. The Kamunting detention centre’s denial of urgent medical treatment for Uthayakumar, whose health is fast deteriorating, is a deliberate violation of the Hindraf leader’s human rights, asserts Angeline Loh.
It has been brought to Aliran’s attention that ISA detainee and Hindraf adviser P Uthayakumar has suffered a mild heart attack while under detention in Kamunting.
We are further informed that Uthayakumar underwent an ECG test last Monday at the Taiping Hospital and was told that it was necessary for him to be referred to the National Heart Institute (IJN) for further tests.
