As at 18 May 2012, 45 detainees were being held in Kamunting. Twelve will be released in 2011, 22 in 2013 and the remaining 11 in 2014. The last detainee will be released on 5 January 2014.
They are being held for alleged human trafficking; alleged involvement in Jemaah Islamiah, Darul Islam and Jemaah Santri Melayu; and alleged falsification of documents (Malaysiakini).
