Doubts over Prime Minister Najib’s commitment to democratic reform have intensified with this week’s passing of the “ironically” named Peaceful Assembly Bill, writes Anil Netto.
The speedy passage of the Peaceful Assembly Bill – which effectively legally bars street protests – has put Prime Minister Najib Razak’s avowed commitment to ushering in greater democracy and civil liberties under intense new scrutiny.

I said many times before this deceitful … Najib is always making false promises since he became the P.M. about two and half years ago.
His promise to grant all top students their scholarships, regardless of their races, and at the end only the NEM (Never enough Money ) … students were sent abroad for their holidays in disguise, while the non Malay students were offered their scholarships to further their studies in the near empty varsities. So in reality they were not going to cost the varsities any more for these students to study there and at the end of their studies the degrees are not recognized elsewhere. The standard of these varsities are so bad and poor that Najib did not even send the NEM students to study there !
Also Najib never even dared to reveal how many of these non Malay students rejected his so called scholarships and his promise to the organizers of Bersih 2 that they can hold their rally in a stadium and then … his crony, who is managing the stadium not … let them booked the stadium with the excuse that it was booked. He then went on not only to ban the rally and even made it illegal to hold it and had the police to put up all sorts of impediments just to make it extremely difficult for all those wanting to attend the rally to so.
Needless to say the quarter cooked police, to further their intimidation to the people wanting to attend the rally brought along their vehicles filled with chemical laced water to shower on the people attending the rally. Most of all the police also brought and threw gas bombs at the people and even a hospital … patients. … the worst part of that was the quarter cooked police went on to deny that they ever did. Najib even sent his MCA lackey to ‘investigate’ the matter and had the audacity to deny it never took place after his ‘investigation’. A typical example of a lackey from MCA but sadly the lackey was, at the end proven wrong.
Najib also promised to come up with new legislation to replace the ISA and you know why the new legislations are taking a very very long time to materialize yet.
They will be replaced only after the GE and with more toxic one just like the peaceful assembly bill and by then it will be too late for the people to realize what a P.M. Najib is, the above are only typical examples of what kind of false promises Najib is making. They are just to win your votes that he is reforming with new bottles but old toxic wines.
They were just a few examples of the type of false promises of Najib or any moron from Umno, so don’t pin your hope … for any reform ! Just come out and vote the deceitful and corrupted Umno morons out of Putrajaya in the coming GE. Though I must add that there is not much to hope for with opposition leaders like … Anwar and mad … LKS still around but half a loaf is better than none !
I often wonder why many who write against the present evil regime invariably demonise DSAI. And sometimes LKS, without giving any specific reasons. UMNO gets clear and numerous reasons to be bashed – NFC, PKZ, Altantuya, etc the list goes on and on but DSAI? LKS? And in some very rare cases, even Tok Guru?
